Self improvement should.....

What is the purpose of self improvement?

Ablity to serve others more effectively
ability to take better care of the world
A purpose for life; a sense of fufillment

I could improve myself by learning how to better express my ideas and inspire others. Do you ever get excited about something and when you share it you would like others be inspired too?

I recently attended Global Leadership Summit and it was fantastic leader training Packed with ideas and advice for impactful living.

I was inspired and impacted. Now the applying it to my daily life starts.

A review of some points that stood out for me:
What are my core values?
Remind myself of them daily and make my decisions based on that
Take time to value others, making the most of opportunities
Appreciate others way more than you think you should then double it
Control or Growth you cannot have both

I need to work on trusting mysel. Authenticity.  Present. Work hard and stay dedicated . Be aware of how I make others feel.
Take care of the people in my life

Anticipating

Anticipating

Leto and I went for a walk after I got home from work. We are both very excited to experience the warmer temperatures that have started to make their way back into Manitoba. It has been a long cold winter with lots of snow. I am starting to notice tufts of grass sticking out here and there and it is a sight I love. I realized I appreciate the grass on the ground, and most likely I appreciate it much more than people who see it all year round. Maybe I could consider this one of the positives of a long winter?

Church

Why do I think it's important to gather with other Christian believers?

As a Christian it's important to be obedient to God's biblical commands.
Hebrews 10:25 reminds us to meet together as Christians to encourage each other. Prov. 27:17 tells us that other Christians will keep me sharp. Mathew 16:18 tells me that I will have protection from evil. It means I can spend time connecting with others that have same goals as myself. Romans 12:5 reminds me all the church members join together to care for one another. We all have different strengths and gifts and we compliment each other with those unique gifts.
I go as well to seek wisdom and support. It effects my attitude resulting in a more content happier Brenda.
I will be blessed, protected and grow stronger in my Christian faith when I attend church.
I will please God.

Waiting for a Weather Change

As beautiful as winter is, I am so ready for nicer weather. 7 months of snow is a bit much for any person to feel happy about. Oct 4/12 was our first snow fall, it is now April 18th and we still have snow on the ground.
This girl is really needing a change in the season!

I am thankful for my family. My mom and dad most of all. They provided me with a good stable foundation. I will always truly be thankful for that.
