I am reading a book called Messy Sprituality by Michael Yaconelli. My dear friend Marcie gifted me with this book a few years ago and only now am I finding the desire to pick it up and read it. It is giving me a refreshing look at my relationship with Jesus. It explains how God meets us and transforms us in the middle of our messy and unpredictable lives. We all find our selves stuck at times in our lives, this is where we get prepared for the next step. When we are stuck we are more likely to pay attention to what we hunger for in our lives. The longings and yearnings come to surface.
Freedom in Christ means I am free from everyones else's definition of freedom for me. He is the only one I answer to. 2 Corinthians 3:17. Our failure's in life can be the primary cause of our understanding and maturity.
