Harvest Time

Something about fall and making use of what the land has given us makes me feel a bit pioneer - ish.

It feels good to make the most of what is given to you or what you've worked for. Fall is my favorite season and I hope we have a long enjoyable fall this year.

Today I will be joining my mom and Kyle and Leanne canning peaches, oh ya and most likely my dad will be there too. My mom's canned peaches are absolutely the best canned peaches a person could eat. The expense of canning your own peaches is more than store bought, but the quality and goodness is worth the expense.

Tomato Sauce in the making

I also received some tomatoes & green pepper from my mom this week. I have been busy with processing the garden goodies, that didn't get used snack taco dip, this morning. Chili con carne, spaghetti in a skillet, tomato sauce,  & farmer sausage quiche.
